Welcome to Koiya
Hi, I’m Ileana
The name "Koiya" is deeply personal and symbolic for me. It comes from two sources of inspiration: the koi fish, which has always been my good luck charm, and Koyasan, one of Japan’s most sacred sites. Koyasan is nestled within a mountain with eight peaks and a basin that resembles a lotus. The koi and the lotus are often seen together, representing perseverance, beauty, and transformation—qualities I wanted my spa to embody as we guide clients on their own wellness journeys.
As my passion for lymphatic health deepened, I pursued formal training in 2020 with Dr. Vidal, earning my Board Certification in Body Shaping and Holistic Health. This knowledge laid a strong foundation for Koiya, but my journey didn’t stop there. In 2022, I met my mentor, Anne Caroline, a renowned Lymphatic Specialist and Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP). Under her guidance, I became certified in Holistic Lymphatic Drainage and Brazilian Sculpting Lymphatic Drainage, skills that allow me to bring clients the most effective and transformative treatments possible.
I founded Koiya after navigating my own personal journey with gut health and initially specializing in body-shaping treatments. I spent years consulting various doctors and exploring different wellness practices to find what would truly support my body’s needs. After extensively looking into more holistic options, I discovered the world of lymphatic drainage and its transformative benefits.
After my first lymphatic drainage session, I felt an immediate difference. The bloating and inflammation that had been troubling me were noticeably reduced, and I felt lighter with a sense of calm in my body. This experience was a turning point for me. It aligned perfectly with my wellness journey, and I knew instantly that I wanted to share this incredible treatment with others.
At Koiya Body Spa, my goal is to integrate the healing benefits of lymphatic drainage with my body treatments, helping clients not only achieve their aesthetic goals but also feel their best from the inside out. After all, when we feel good on the inside, it radiates on the outside—what’s better than that?
